Hey ya’ll,

Been long time coming, had to gather my thoughts before this post!

I’ve wanted to create MY top of the top for the last decade. I know took me 2 months after the decade is over to do this but meh, 2010 should be the last year of the decade. These are MY favorites, so I bet you can discover a few things along this, and feel free to let me know what your tops are in each category

Top of the Top 2000 – 2010

Music:

Best Hip Hop Album: The Cool Kids – The Bake Sale .
Now yes , absolutely yes for this one because I have never heard a sound that makes hip hop sound so good to my ears. They are fresh and clean, sweet and sexy, intelligent and creative. I discovered them in Montreal a few years back when they were oppening the show for girl MIA who was “thiiiiis” close to getting the number one stop with her album KALA. So here it is close call, MIA- KALA.

Best Electronic /Indie Album: MGMT – Oracular Spectacular & this I have to give these guys the first spot as well: Justice – Cross
Now MGMT was absolutely dominating the charts with their hit single Time to Pretend while the boys of Justice were killing with the song DANCE. This song prolly has the coolest videoclip ever which u should absolutely check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49esza4eiK4 you can also see it remastered by MSTRKRFT which is absolutely fantabulous. Produced by Ed Banger Records, Justice is signed by them along with other french favorites UFFIE and SEBASTIAN

Best Indie/Rock Album: Death Cab For Cutie – Plans & Jack’s Mannequin – Everything in Transit after being impossibly hooked on the single “Against All Odds” by the awesome Postal Service, I came across DCFC and forgot all about anything I had every heard before when I started dedicating “Soul Meets body” to my lover back then. As for Jack’s Mannequin, the song The Mixed Tape is beautiful, you wish you wrote the lyrics.

Best Punk Album(New Punk):Blink 182 – Blink 182,  Billy Talent – Billy Talent I & Rise Against – Siren Song of the Counter Culture nothing else to say but, relevant lyrics, made me rebel against every possible thing and want every day to be Vans Warped Tour.

Best Pop Album: Lady Gaga – The Fame Monster any objections?

Best Acoustic & Vocals Album: Jack Johnson – In Between Dreams

Best Party Album: I don’t know, quite frankly… I wanted to say BEP, or Britney Spears.

Malheureusement pour moi et ma job que j’adore mais avec laquelle je n’ai que 2 semaines de vacances par année, je ne pourrais pas en profiter… Mais c’est une offre tellement alléchante et incroyable que je veux vous en faire part!

Ce que j’aime par dessus tout de ce site web, est qu’il est facile d’accès, pour les gens (genre mes parents) qui ont de la difficulté a s’orienter sur les sites web compliqués de plusieurs agences de voyage.

Un départ est prévu pour chaque fin de session (Soit Janvier et Juin) et les seuls couts que vous auriez à défrayer (autre que le 3700$) au départ, sont vos dépenses personnelles. Pour le superficiel qui se trouve en chacun de nous, les gars nous fournissent même les prix des trucs le fun à acheter; souliers de marques: 40$!!

as for me, i’m still thinking that two weeks of vacation a year is not enough. Travel now, that you can.. because once you get your job, life gets better, but vacations don’t happen so much!

From Cover Teen to…. nothing left to say

So this week’s WORD(it’s not mean!) goes to… Miley “Hannah Montana” Cyrus. Our cute little “prom-queen” looking, perfect teen idol, girl next door teen hottie left us with nothing(nice) to say and herself… with nothing all…

Miley Cyrus will be only 17 on November 23rd… but I guess hanging out with girls who know how to get attention made her…

Lots of celebs do it, so I guess growing up too fast is just the latest fashion trend Hollywood.

 And when she left her poor myspace page unattended, she also left her good sense at the door of the fashion shootings, and her last concert where she “sang-strip-pole-danced-barely-dressed”

And just to think… at 16-teen, I probably looked like this:

The world we live in today.

That Marseca dress is sooooo princess like, and nowadays i dig that fashion, it’s just so itsy bitsy dreamy. I just like that glam, girlie feel. And it reminded it me of one artist I like very much, Miss lily allen.

hello, you. i brought this style here. and i did it well.

my second thought of the day goes to Gab, it’s my fault for going on facebook during work hours but hey. I discovered this… first of all, lets do some history..

So almost two years ago, i did an interview with people on style on the streets of montreal and literally fell in love with the fashion of “Men & V-Necks” (FYI: http://www.bombe.tv/videos/la_police_du_look). Some thought it was over rated, they would never wear a vneck…

but i did a little research on how hot people look with the vnecks and here is my cute sketch:

So getting back to Gab who just launched his tee shirt line “Arrogant Homme” which i very much like (well the design on the sleeves are something i really like), he gave the fashion of V-Necks a new kick in the butt and made it land here in Gatineau, where men are either very stylish…. or very Ed Hardy… do as we think: a nice VNeck, a leather jacket, pair it with his nicest fantasy a.k.a funky watches, some sick jeans (i like buffalo’s tighties) and a sick pair of black shoes or some converses.
